Student Experience Blog: Theatre

A "Fantastick" Night

This last weekend we went to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival to see “The Fantasticks” and it was bombbbbbbbb.

Let me set the scene.

Me; sunglasses, a backpack filled to the brim with boxed wine and those almond cookies from the World Market, a blanket for lounging on.

My friends; more blankets, more cookies from other delicious stores and, of course, more boxed wine.

It's a Good Show, Charlie Brown

For one of the first times ever I’m not in the school play, and I feel really, really weird about it.

But oh Beethoven was Charlie Brown fun to watch!

I’m writing this blog post at the COI Oscar Party, which seems completely appropriate given the circumstances. This afternoon I got back from a week at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, held this year in the lovely but FREEZING Ellensburg, WA.

It was a lot of fun.

Five Women and the Fall Play

Everyone come to the play.

For all you college kids reading, there’s sex and drugs and rock and roll, partial nudity of a very scandalous sort, and women behaving badly.

For all you grown ups out there, the show is a provocative think piece on the duality of female relationships and the connection we have with our former selves after the duration of our formative years.

And also sex and drugs and rock and roll.

I am so serious right now.

Come. To. The. Play.
